Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has condemned the attack on governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and demand immediate probe of the development.
The national President of AYCF, Alhaji Yerima Shettima stated this on Sunday in a statement made available to Journalists in Kaduna.
“The attention of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has been drawn to the broad day attack on the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his way to Abuja on official Assignment”.
He said “we are saddened that despirate politicians have taken politics to a point of do or die an assasinated attempt on percieved political enemies.
“Let it be known that Nigeria is not a banana republic and this act of despiracy by politicians must be condemned by all and sundry”.
“We therefore condenm in the strongest terms such dastard act and urge security personal to immediately set up an investigative panel to unravel the perpetrators and their sponsors behind such evil act”.
According to Shettima, the north will not watch and fold their hands and allow such assasination attempt on any of her leaders who have distinguished themselves in all ramifications.
He further said “it is our hope that the Federal Government will not sweep this under the carpet, perpetrators must be fish out and made to face the full wrath of the law, enough is enough”.
