Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has said that its attention has been drawn to a mischievous story concerted and published by some section of the conventional media and online platforms targeted at smearing the national President’s reputation and putting him in apparently bad light before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement signed by the director research and publicity of AYCF, Comrade Paul Danjuma said “AYCF President Alhaji Shettima Yerima holds President Tinubu in high esteem, and so it is certainly impossible for him to have said anything whatsoever to undermine President Tinubu as was credited to him in the said publications”.
“Towards this end, the AYCF is calling the media to always cross check their facts before publishing same to avoid consequences in future.
“Let us put on record that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed exceedingly well within the period of his assumption of office and the AYCF President could not have said he is not in charge of affairs of the country or not in charge at the Also Rock”.
“He is however in the firm belief that more needs to be done particularly in the area of youth Inclusiveness in governance.
“We are not in banana republic where anything goes, it is therefore our candid opinion that the writers should henceforth not allow themselves to be used as merchant to undermine persons who have built a good name for themselves as this will not be tolerated or allowed to stand in the future”.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves commendation and encouragement in his efforts to reposition the country and all and sundry must support him, and the AYCF president is one person who beliefs in his vision.and mission and cannot say or do anything otherwise”.
“For the record, at no time was the AYCF president was the youth director of NADECO as erroneously captured in the publications but youth director of PRONACO.
“The AYCF president is committed to a united Nigeria and beliefs in the Leadership capacity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver on mandates”.
