Protest Not Solution To Nigeria’s Problems, Says RECAN

A group under the auspice of Rehoboth Community Advancement Initiative (RECAN) has urged Nigerians to avoid participating in the proposed nationwide protest, maintaining that is not the solution to Nigeria’s Problems.

In a statement by the executive director of the group, Abaniwo Ciwon Nathaniel on Monday said “we do understand the frustrations and grievances that have led to this planned protest, we strongly believe that Nationwide protest can never be the solution to our problems”.

The group urged all stakeholders to prioritize the safety and well-being of the masses particularly the vulnerable groups by canceling the planned protest to avoid putting them in harmful way.

The also urged stakeholders to prioritize dialogue and negotiation over confrontation in the name of protest, adding that they should seek solutions that promote national unity and progress.

“We should protect the lives, properties, and interests of all Nigerians. Engage in constructive conversation to address grievances.Prioritize the safety and well-being of all citizens.

“Protest organizers should consider alternative, peaceful channels for expressing grievances. Security agencies to maintain law and order while respecting human rights”.

“Government officials to engage in inclusive, transparent dialogue addressing pressing issues”.

“Finally, Let us choose the path of peace, understanding, and collective progress for a better Nigeria. Bearing in mind that, together we can build a more harmonious and prosperous Nigeria of our collective dreams”.
