As part of activities marking the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the Queen Adenike Tejuosho (QAT) Foundation on Thursday empowered 30 vulnerable women with N100,000 each in Babansura community, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The empowerment programme, held at Government Secondary School, Babansura, also featured a special interfaith prayer session for peace, national unity, and the success of the Tinubu administration.

The prayer, jointly conducted by Islamic cleric, Mallam Abubakar Liman, and Christian cleric, Pastor Gabriel Luka, underscored the organisers’ commitment to fostering religious harmony and collective responsibility for national progress.

Speaking at the event, the Founder of QAT Foundation, Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, said the initiative was in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places emphasis on women empowerment and inclusive development.

Dr. Tejuosho, who was represented by the foundation’s Kaduna Coordinator, Dr. Zainab Danlami, reiterated the organisation’s resolve to continue tackling poverty, illiteracy, and social exclusion, particularly among women and vulnerable communities.

“Today’s programme is our modest way of contributing to the national rebirth agenda of President Bola Tinubu,” she said. “These 30 women receiving N100,000 each will have a new lease of life, and we trust they will make productive use of the funds.”

In their separate remarks, the clerics encouraged Nigerians to support the administration through prayers and constructive engagement, noting that peace, justice, and inclusivity were essential ingredients for national development.

Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the QAT Foundation and praised the intervention as timely and impactful.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Grace Duniya, said she plans to expand her petty trade with the funds. “God bless the QAT Foundation and President Tinubu for remembering us at the grassroots,” she said.

The QAT Foundation has been at the forefront of humanitarian interventions across the country. In 2024, the organisation awarded scholarships to 370 students in celebration of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s 64th birthday.
