The immediate past Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly,  Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani as they prepare for their respective second term bids in 2027.

Zailani made this known while speaking at an empowerment programme organised by the Igabi Local Government Council under the leadership of Hon Sani Abdul. During the event, over 150 less privileged individuals received a monthly stipend of N30,000 each as part of the council’s social welfare efforts.

Zailani emphasized the need for national unity and continuity of president Tinubu and governor Uba Sani in 2027.

“Everyone that is not supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration does not mean well for this country.”

The former speaker urged Nigerians to rally behind the Tinubu-led administration and the Kaduna State Governor, saying both leaders have shown commitment to good governance and development.

Commenting on the recent wave of defections to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Zailani downplayed the impact, saying the movement poses no threat to the political future of the APC.

“Those decamping to SDP should not celebrate too early. They cannot stop President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. Uba Sani remains our candidate for a second term in Kaduna State”.

Zailani also expressed his unflinching support for Hon Muhammad Abubakar Mamadi as the House of Representatives member for Igabi Federal Constituency.

He hinted at a massive show of support once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lifts the ban on campaign activities. “We are only waiting for INEC. When the time comes, we will organize a march of hundreds of thousands in support of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani,” he stated.

In a related development, Zailani received strong backing from stakeholders in the Igabi area for a potential senatorial bid.

The endorsement came from the Chairman of Igabi Stakeholders, Alhaji Muazu Abubakar Ruma Tafidan Afaka, also known as Sardaunan Nagarta, who described Zailani as a worthy representative for Kaduna Central in the 11th National Assembly.

The gathering reflected growing political mobilization across the state as the 2027 general elections begin to take shape, with Zailani positioning himself and his allies as key players in the unfolding political realignment.
