The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR, describing his elevation as a strong validation of his exemplary record in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In a congratulatory letter signed by its Chairman, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, the Foundation commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it termed a “judicious and strategic selection”, noting that the President’s choice of Gen. Musa — swiftly confirmed by the Senate — reflects a renewed national commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture.
The Foundation said Gen. Musa’s “distinguished service, gallantry and unwavering dedication” have prepared him for the task ahead at a time the country faces complex security challenges. It expressed confidence that his experience and strategic insight will significantly bolster ongoing efforts to restore peace across the country.
Ambassador Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), CFR, former Chief of Army Staff and Grand Patron of the Foundation, also lauded President Tinubu for the appointment, describing Gen. Musa as a seasoned officer whose leadership will inspire fresh momentum in the Ministry of Defence.
Buratai said he is optimistic that the new Minister will bring renewed direction to the fight against insecurity, adding that the Senate’s quick confirmation signals broad national support for his mandate.
The Foundation prayed for wisdom and strength for Gen. Musa and wished him a successful tenure marked by impactful reforms capable of advancing national stability and public welfare.
