The Kaduna State chapter of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide Youth Wing has endorsed Hon. Alexander Adanu in the upcoming bye-election for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency.
The group’s Secretary General Livinus Ogechukwu, the newly elected President Ikeduba Samuel and other Exco members during a courtesy visit emphasized the importance of electing a candidate who embodies community values.
He commended Adanu’s record of service since the demised of late Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, adding that Adanu’s commitment to the development of Chikun/Kajuru is undeniable.
He said, “Adanu’s active engagement in local projects and unwavering dedication to the people make him the ideal candidate to effectively represent their interests”.
The youth council highlighted Adanu’s involvement in youth empowerment, educational initiatives, and infrastructural development within the constituency, emphasizing the alignment of his youth-focused initiatives with the council’s priorities.
The newly elected president said, “Adanu’s deep understanding of youth challenges and his commitment to addressing them will be invaluable in the House of Representatives.
“His proactive approach to community development is commendable, and we are confident he will be a strong voice for the people”.
The bye-election which came as a result of the vacancy created by the demised of Hon. Ekene Adams is highly contested.
The group’s endorsement of Hon. Adanu is expected to significantly impact voter turnout and sentiment, particularly among young voters.
Political analysts suggest this endorsement is a strategic move to galvanize support for a candidate perceived as representing Igbo interests effectively.
While other candidates are vying for the seat, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide endorsement signifies a strong vote of confidence in Adanu.
