The President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas, has said that Africa’s progress and prosperity depend on the collective strength of its youth and the active participation of women in governance and economic transformation.
He stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, at the ministry’s headquarters in Ouagadougou on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, dated Sunday, August 24, 2025, Amb. Abbas stressed that the NYA is committed to forging continental alliances that would accelerate the vision of a united and prosperous Africa.ica’s progress depends on the collective strength of its youth and the active inclusion of women in governance, policy-making, and economic transformation,” he said.

The meeting underscored the urgent need to deepen cooperation between African nations through people-to-people diplomacy and sustainable youth-driven initiatives.
Discussions also explored a bilateral working relationship between Nigeria and Burkina Faso in areas such as youth empowerment, women’s participation in leadership, education, innovation, and peacebuilding.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a Pan-Africanist agenda, with young people and women driving the continent’s future.
Amb. Abbas’ visit is seen as a significant step toward consolidating African solidarity and reawakening the spirit of Pan-Africanism through the active involvement of young leaders across the continent.
