The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his resounding victory in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear mandate for sustained reforms and accelerated development.

In a statement issued in Abuja and jointly signed by the Interim President, Ambassador Ikenna Okonkwo, and the Interim Secretary, Princess-Ekwi Ajide, the association said the governor’s clean sweep of all 21 local government areas was a powerful reaffirmation of the confidence and trust reposed in his administration by the people of Anambra State.

LAJA noted that the emphatic victory reflects widespread approval of Soludo’s reform agenda, infrastructural renewal and policies aimed at repositioning the state as a liveable and prosperous homeland.

The group described the result as more than an electoral success, saying it represents a strong endorsement of competence, continuity and purposeful leadership, as well as the political maturity and unity of Ndi Anambra in sustaining the current development trajectory.

LAJA also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, election observers and other stakeholders for conducting what it termed a peaceful, transparent and credible exercise that genuinely reflected the will of the electorate.

The association urged the governor to see the overwhelming mandate as a renewed call to deepen reforms, consolidate gains and expand development initiatives across all sectors of the state.

It assured Soludo of its continued support and partnership in advancing policies and programmes geared towards improving the welfare and collective aspirations of the people of Anambra State.
