Powerful Boys U-16 put up a dominant display on Thursday, defeating Manna Academy 3-1 in a lively football encounter at the Yelwa Mini Stadium.
From kickoff, the U-16 side showed clear intent, pressing high and moving the ball with confidence as they pinned Manna Academy back in their own half.
Their early dominance soon translated into a goal, with a well-coordinated attacking move ending in a clinical finish that gave them a deserved lead in the first half.
Manna Academy responded positively, reorganising their midfield and pushing forward in search of an equaliser, forcing a series of defensive interventions from their opponents.

However, the second half saw Powerful Boys U-16 raise their intensity, winning key battles in midfield and regaining control of the game’s tempo.
Their efforts were rewarded when they netted a second goal, taking advantage of a defensive gap to restore their lead and swing momentum back in their favour.
As Manna Academy pushed forward again, Powerful Boys U-16 remained composed, soaking up pressure and launching quick counterattacks that troubled their opponents.
One of such breaks resulted in a third goal, effectively sealing the victory and capping off an impressive team performance.
