The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has urged councillors to strengthen collaboration with the executive arm of the council to promote effective governance and grassroots development.

Madaki made the call on Monday when he received members of the Kajuru Legislative Council, led by its Speaker, Hon. Ezra Israel John, during a courtesy visit to his residence.

The chairman commended the councillors for their dedication to the development of their respective wards and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary support and cooperation to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively.

He urged the councillors to uphold unity, mutual respect and a collective sense of purpose, stressing that the development of Kajuru must remain paramount.

Madaki said the guiding principle should be “Kajuru First”, urging all stakeholders to work together in the interest of the local government and its people.

He also described the councillors as “ambassadors” of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, at the grassroots, particularly as the 2027 general elections approach.

According to him, their proximity to the people places them in a strategic position to communicate the governor’s development agenda, mobilise grassroots support and strengthen unity around his leadership.

He urged the councillors to use their positions to deepen the relationship between the government and residents while promoting development across their respective wards.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of the council to ensure effective representation and inclusive development across Kajuru Local Government Area.
