The Northern Awareness Network (NAN) has celebrated the return of Minister Matawalle to the battlefield in Sokoto, as he continues to lead the charge against banditry and terrorism in the North-West region.

According to the groups Chairman, Salihu Suleiman the Minister Matawalle has once again demonstrated his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the people in the North-West region by leading a successful military campaign that has dealt a blow to banditry and terrorism in the area.
“The recent military campaign led by Minister Matawalle has yielded significant successes, including the killing of Halilu Sububu and many other bandit leaders. These operations have led to the arrest of several key figures involved in the perpetration of violence and instability in the region.
“Furthermore, Minister Matawalle’s leadership has resulted in the relative peace achieved in the North-West, providing a sense of security and stability for local communities. This success is a testament to his dedication to serving the people and protecting their well-being from the threats posed by criminal elements.
“It is important to acknowledge the efforts of Minister Matawalle in shaming the naysayers who have sought to discredit his work. His return to the battlefield in Sokoto has reaffirmed his commitment to combating insurgency and terrorism in the region, and his actions have set a positive example for other leaders to follow.

NAN called for the immediate arrest of those seeking to disrupt the peace and stability that Minister Matawalle has worked so hard to achieve. These individuals are nothing but saboteurs who are intent on causing harm and chaos in the region, and their actions must not be tolerated.
