Stakeholders and elders in Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State have restated their support for Governor Uba Sani, expressing confidence in the administration’s policies and development direction.

The  forum also pledged backing for all consensus candidates adopted by the ruling party ahead of the 2027 political cycle in the state.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday at the  Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna State Council, the spokesperson of the forum, Prof. Dauda Ishaya, said the group remained firmly united behind the state government and its leadership.

He explained that the briefing was convened to address what he described as varying versions of reports circulating about developments in the local government area, insisting that the forum needed to set the record straight.

According to him, elders, stakeholders and community representatives came together to clarify their position and ensure accurate information was available to the public.

He noted that some of the circulating narratives amounted to insinuations and allegations, stressing that clarification had become necessary to prevent misunderstanding within and outside the community.

Prof. Ishaya said the stakeholders remained aligned with decisions of the State government, particularly those affecting Ikara LGA, adding that they would continue to support policies aimed at strengthening governance and improving development outcomes.

On infrastructure and social services, he highlighted improvements in the General Hospital in Ikara, noting that the facility had been upgraded from a deteriorated condition to a more functional health centre serving residents more effectively.

He also pointed to government interventions addressing long-standing water supply challenges in the area, saying the situation had improved significantly and brought relief to rural communities.

According to him, what had been a persistent water shortage over the years had now been substantially addressed through government action.

He reaffirmed that residents of Ikara remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote welfare, stability, and development across the local government area.
