A political support group, CGMUSAWAH for PBAT 2027, has declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying both leaders deserve second terms in office.
The group also announced plans to mobilise one million women across Kaduna State for a “Mata Zallah” solidarity walk in support of Tinubu and Sani.
The National Coordinator of the group, Dr Polycarp Gankon, disclosed this yesterday at a press conference held at the organisation’s headquarters on Yakowah Way, Kaduna.
Gankon said the proposed solidarity walk would demonstrate the group’s support for the two leaders and the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that a grand reception would also be held on the same day in honour of Comrade Jerry Adams, whom he described as Governor Sani’s running mate for the 2027 election.
He said the organisation, formerly known as MUSAWAH 4 Youth & Development Initiative, had adopted the name CGMUSAWAH for PBAT 2027 to reflect its renewed focus on mobilising support for Tinubu, Sani and the APC.
According to him, the group had established a mobilisation structure across Kaduna State comprising 115 local government area mobilisers, 2,295 ward mobilisers and 24,036 polling unit mobilisers.
He said the structure was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation and expanding the group’s support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
Gankon said the group remained firmly behind the APC-led governments at the federal and state levels, expressing its readiness to mobilise support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government and the SUSTAIN Agenda of the Kaduna State Government.
He also commended President Tinubu over the appointment of the group’s Grand Patron, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), first as Chief of Defence Staff and later as Minister of Defence.
Gankon described the nomination of Adams as the governor’s running mate as a demonstration of inclusion, adding that the group considered the performances of Tinubu and Sani deserving of second terms in office.
