More than 2,000 members of the Ngas community from Plateau State residing in Kaduna staged a cultural procession through major streets of the city in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the party’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off.

The procession, featuring traditional music, cultural dancers and women’s choral groups, preceded the campaign rally held at the Kaduna Township Stadium on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Ngas Development Association, Kaduna State Branch, Hon. Nentawe Gomiyar, the community commended Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and the APC leadership for the successful hosting of the event.

Gomiyar also praised the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, an indigene of the Ngas community, describing his leadership of the party as a source of pride and inspiration to Ngas youths.

According to the statement, the procession began at Stadium Roundabout, passed through Constitution Road and Independence Way, and ended at the campaign venue.

The cultural display featured the award-winning Ngas Sombi Troupe from Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, Minawan Kaduna Cultural Dancers and Ngas women’s choral groups.

The association said the Sombi Troupe recreated its celebrated grand entry associated with the 1977 Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC ’77) in Lagos, showcasing the cultural heritage of the Ngas people.

The procession, coordinated by the community’s Cultural Coordinator, Mr Semsu Nden, also attracted other campaign and support groups, which joined at the Abubakar Kigo Road junction.

The association commended Governor Uba Sani for the hospitality and security arrangements at the event, as well as the Local Organising Committee led by the Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
