LAJA Congratulates Soludo, Urges Focus On Jobs, Security

The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the commencement of his second term, describing his re-election as a clear vote of confidence in his leadership and performance.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the association said the renewed mandate reflects the trust of the people in Soludo’s vision and the impact of his administration across critical sectors during his first tenure.

LAJA highlighted the government’s infrastructure drive, particularly in road construction and urban renewal, noting that the projects have improved connectivity and boosted economic activities across the state.

The association also commended the administration’s approach to security, stating that proactive measures and community-based strategies have helped restore public confidence and create a safer environment for residents and investors.

On the economy, LAJA praised the government’s push towards digital transformation, citing investments in technology, innovation hubs and youth-focused initiatives aimed at positioning Anambra competitively in Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.

It further acknowledged ongoing reforms in the education sector, noting efforts geared towards strengthening human capital development and equipping young people with relevant skills for the future.

While applauding these strides, the association said the governor’s second term presents an opportunity to consolidate on existing gains and accelerate development across the state.

LAJA called on the government to prioritise job creation, industrialisation and support for small and medium-scale enterprises to ensure inclusive economic growth.

It also urged the administration to deepen the state’s security architecture, strengthen citizen engagement and sustain reforms that directly impact the welfare of the people.

The association expressed confidence that Soludo’s experience and policy direction would further position Anambra as a hub for innovation, investment and sustainable development.
