Kaduna PDP Guber Candidate Urges Unity Ahead Of 2027

The Kaduna State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Usman Shehu Bawa, has urged the party’s candidates for the National and State Houses of Assembly elections to unite ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bawa made the call during the weekend at a meeting with the party’s candidates and aspirants at his campaign office in Kaduna, stressing the need for members to put aside their differences and work together for the success of the party.
Bawa said unity among the candidates and other members of the party was necessary to achieve their common objectives ahead of the elections.
“As we prepare for the general elections, it is important that we set aside our differences and work together for the success of our party. Our collective success hinges on our ability to unite as candidates and as a party towards achieving a common cause,” he said.
He also urged aspirants who did not secure the party’s nominations to support those who emerged as candidates, saying the party had a responsibility to its members and constituents.
“We have a vision that would move Kaduna State forward. We also have a responsibility to our party and our constituents. By supporting one another, we can amplify our voices and present a united front to the electorate,” Bawa added.
The PDP governorship hopeful also expressed concern over attacks on some opposition political parties, describing such actions as primitive and inconsistent with the political progress of the nation.
The meeting was attended by candidates contesting for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly, as well as aspirants who participated in the party’s last primary elections.
Participants at the meeting subsequently committed themselves to collaborative efforts aimed at fostering solidarity and strengthening the party’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
